Bloggin’ Tips

I’ve received loads of messages recently about getting followers and nail blogging. Here are my top tips, I hope they help…

1. Tagging / labeling

I don’t know about you gals, but I have tracked tags and searches for “nails” and “nail art”. Make sure you tag your photos with the right words. Just think of what you might search for….for example: “Pink leopard nail art” or “Summer nails”.

2. Share the love

Be friendly and share your ideas, learnings, fashion favourites, nail art tips and tricks. Let’s face it, there are TONS of nail art blogs out there and it’s not a competition. You probably look at other nail art blogs and magazines for inspiration, why not share the love.

3. Give “Props”

Don’t hate, give “Props” to the people that inspire you. If you reblog or try out a nail designs you have seen, link to their blog or twitter name or send them a message. The more you give, the more get - fact!

4. It’s Quality not Quantity

This really depends on what type of blog you want and if massive amounts of followers is your goal. Constant re-blogging will always keep your blog fresh and more appealing for followers. But I personally think there is already too much stuff out there, it’s nice to find a style you like and stick with it.

5. Be honest

Be honest about whatever it is you do. You’ll gain people’s trust and find more like-minded peeps. Show your personality to make your blog unique and stand out from all the rest.

6. Photo finish

Try to avoid unwanted shadows and having too many things going on in the background. If you have the “Marco” option on your camera, that helps with the detail, just hold the camera steady!

7. Get your nails did!

Treat yourself to salon manicures once in a while. Watch and learn!

What do you guys think? Are ya feeling the love?
